The Mannheim Christmas Market is one of the largest and most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany. Many thousands of guests visit this market every year. The Mannheim Christmas Market is situated in the center of Mannheim, just a five minutes' walk from the central station. About 200 booths are placed around the "Wasserturm", the historic water reservoir and Mannheim's famous landmark.
Surrounded by an expansive Art Nouveau garden, the Christmas Market is a wonderful place to walk around with friends and family. It offers a great deal of ideas for Christmas gifts and decoration: arts and crafts from several German regions and other countries, toys, ceramics, candles, leather and clothing are just a few examples for the range of products. Children will find pleasure in two ancient merry-go-rounds, a children's train and other attractions. Regional choirs, school classes, music and dance groups show up in daily stage performances. In a special booth, volunteers offer "Information and Help" for social projects by selling homemade Christmas cookies, sweets and gifts. Thousands of lights and spicy scents create a warm and jooyful Christmas atmosphere. Typical German "Glühwein", Bratwurst and sweets will make your visit at the Mannheim Christmas Market unforgettable. The Mannheim Christmas Market is open daily from 11.00 a.m. until 9.00 p.m. |
